some of my best memories from that time are with her.  It was so fun to visit with her and her cute kids.  It’s sad having friends move away so often, but it’s fun meeting up with friends in random places!  <img title="DSC_0543" style="border-left-width: 0px; We talked some friends into joining us. I can’t believe we waited so long.  We’ll definitely do it again.  Hopefully next time it won’t rain as much…</p> <p>The highlight of the weekend was the hike that we went on.  We went thinking it would be an easy “one boot” hike (our guide book rates them from one-four boots depending on how hard they are).  Anyways, turns out that we ended up on a four boot hike.  We went through some super steep spots and a few spots where I was sure someone was going over the edge.  But these kids were serious troopers and even though we were all exhausted by the end, we were all glad we did it!  </p> <p>This was at the beginning when the kids were voluntarily climbing the rocks.  Little did they know that soon this would be the trail…  And no, we didn’t have more kids, we had friends with us.  Friends who will probably never go camping with us again.  </p> <p><img title="IMG_0219" style="border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; border-bottom: 0px; float: none; margin-left: auto; border-left: 0px; display: block; margin-right: auto" border="0" alt="IMG_0219" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-SCdWeKS0h2A/UeXpTMVXvwI/AAAAAAAAM6U/6czGVs2Umc4/IMG_0219_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="660" height="500" /><a href="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-EDxaTAt9IO8/UeXpUEE2ARI/AAAAAAAAM6c/kCy6377TxA8/s1600-h/IMG_0202%25255B2%25255D.jpg"><img title="IMG_0202" style="border-top: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; float: none; margin-left: auto; display: block; border-top-width: 0px; margin-right: auto" border="0" alt="DSC_0212" src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-z4InTYId6kE/UeN4sIJSYII/AAAAAAAAM1U/3sQtlHpdXHI/DSC_0212_thumb4.jpg?imgmax=800" width="660" height="480" /></a> After the adults raced, the kids got to run their little race.  It was supposed to be 1/4 mile, but it wasn’t even close to that.  The kids all rocked it and it was fun to see them get excited about their race.  I would love it if they picked up running too!<a href="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-tZJy7utEqNg/UeN4sy6ZcSI/AAAAAAAAM1c/c38kBCr2kpk/s1600-h/DSC_02142.jpg"><img title="DSC_0214" style="border-left-width: 0px; I finished in 50:38, just barely beating my 2008 time of 51:12.  That’s still progress, right? <img title="IMG_5266" style="border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; border-bottom: 0px; float: none; margin-left: auto; border-left: 0px; display: block; margin-right: auto" border="0" alt="IMG_5266" src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-HQRE-8bvrnE/UeN4uCrq6BI/AAAAAAAAM1s/O2qPg5CCXZI/IMG_5266_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="500" height="380" /><img title="IMG_5273" style="border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; border-bottom: 0px; float: none; margin-left: auto; border-left: 0px; display: block; margin-right: auto" border="0" alt="IMG_5273" src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-4I1OUTJlhN4/UeN4u6j020I/AAAAAAAAM10/_Db73ANx7gM/IMG_5273_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="500" height="500" />It was so much fun running with my sister and best friends!  We made a day out of it and hit up the zoo afterwards.  I love bringing my kids along with me for my races.  It’s so fun to see them get excited for me.  And I hope that I’m showing them how great it is to set and achieve goals.  I’ve also been able to talk to them about how we get stronger when we keep going when we are tired.  I hope I’m also setting a good example for them to follow by being healthy and keeping my body strong.  </p> <p>The last race that I ran was my favorite.  Some friends and I ran the color run in Racine.  It was such a blast! We ran it without worrying about our time at all.  We went in just to have a great time and we did!   At each kilometer you pass through a color station and they spray you with color.  It was Christina’s first race, and I’m sure it’s one she’ll remember!  At the end, there is music, more color throwing and just a good time in general.  </p> <p><a href="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-Tk-hKcFYgxg/UeN4vZpgQ0I/AAAAAAAAM18/l8TsG3VnzGo/s1600-h/4A6358A7-3B95-4C40-97F6-F5CCF58244CC%25255B2%25255D.jpg"><img title="4A6358A7-3B95-4C40-97F6-F5CCF58244CC" style="border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; border-bottom: 0px; float: none; margin-left: auto; border-left: 0px; display: block; margin-right: auto" border="0" alt="4A6358A7-3B95-4C40-97F6-F5CCF58244CC" src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-ba1_H03gB34/UeN4wM26-RI/AAAAAAAAM2E/o-S-I8qhrbI/4A6358A7-3B95-4C40-97F6-F5CCF58244CC_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="660" height="500" /></a> So clean and pretty…<img title="IMG_5646" style="border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; border-bottom: 0px; float: none; margin-left: auto; border-left: 0px; display: block; margin-right: auto" border="0" alt="IMG_5646" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-12U4mw86b8Y/UeN4w6hWtFI/AAAAAAAAM2M/VVogsTmMWPE/IMG_5646_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="660" height="500" /><img title="IMG_5648" style="border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; border-bottom: 0px; float: none; margin-left: auto; border-left: 0px; display: block; margin-right: auto" border="0" alt="IMG_5648" src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-Pl0hSCxvZb8/UeN4xrHeNVI/AAAAAAAAM2U/bsnSJGcamAw/IMG_5648_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="660" height="500" />First red…<a href="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-a7R-iBrjzBI/UeN5sYgfScI/AAAAAAAAM3g/OthJgAPrZDY/s1600-h/IMG_5657%25255B2%25255D.jpg"><img title="IMG_5657" style="border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; border-bottom: 0px; float: none; margin-left: auto; border-left: 0px; display: block; margin-right: auto" border="0" alt="IMG_5657" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-zyHFiq8Dfkw/UeN5tBrtHtI/AAAAAAAAM3o/S3XZN5KF7Sc/IMG_5657_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="660" height="500" /></a> Then yellow… and yes, we did stop to take pictures at each color.  <a href="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-vN24qb6hys4/UeN5tvTnTGI/AAAAAAAAM3w/r5xtMCfsX-c/s1600-h/IMG_5660%25255B2%25255D.jpg"><img title="IMG_5660" style="border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; border-bottom: 0px; float: none; margin-left: auto; border-left: 0px; display: block; margin-right: auto" border="0" alt="IMG_5660" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-2wPUaaJAQ1U/UeN5uQcIvwI/AAAAAAAAM34/u31o89gqK4M/IMG_5660_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="660" height="500" /></a> Then orange…<a href="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-uwudc2EJF8E/UeN4yBIOmdI/AAAAAAAAM2c/v4xGaoAxrcg/s1600-h/IMG_5662%25255B2%25255D.jpg"><img title="IMG_5662" style="border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; border-bottom: 0px; float: none; margin-left: auto; border-left: 0px; display: block; margin-right: auto" border="0" alt="IMG_5662" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-FhjgCB_R210/UeN4yyvyRxI/AAAAAAAAM2k/_1hf0fe20ZA/IMG_5662_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="660" height="500" /></a> And blue<img title="C1C5C19B-44F7-42D4-8E28-855F8BC42241" style="border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; border-bottom: 0px; float: none; margin-left: auto; border-left: 0px; display: block; margin-right: auto" border="0" alt="C1C5C19B-44F7-42D4-8E28-855F8BC42241" src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-DbXMrmYAJXc/UeN4zTzmM4I/AAAAAAAAM2s/aZ2-9NktACA/C1C5C19B-44F7-42D4-8E28-855F8BC42241_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="660" height="500" />Then color chaos! We did it at Yo Mama’s – a frozen yogurt shop.  Best. decision. ever.  We showed up at ten, did our thing, and then we left.  No set up, no clean up, no making food, nothing. It was amazing.  The girls got to decorate aprons, toured the kitchen, ate frozen yogurt and then Sammy opened gifts.  It was great.  </p> <p>Samantha has really been such a special part of our family.  She plays so well with Carter or Ben, although her and Carter are really close.  One of my favorite memories was last year during kinderfest (the German equivalent of field day) the whole school was out doing different activities.  In spite of all their friends being there, they found each other and hung out all afternoon.  She does this sweet thing with Ben where she will put her arm around him when they walk together.  She really is the glue that holds the kids together.  She is so sweet and helpful with Adam.  She is my little girlfriend who loves getting her nails done, but at the same time, she puts up a mean light saber fight and can play baseball just as well as the boys.  She has recently found some sass that I could do without, but otherwise she is such a good girl.  It’s so fun to have another girl around to share girly things with.  I really wish that I could have given her a sister, and I’m sad that it’s not in the cards for her, but I am so grateful that I got at least one girl.  We have been so blessed by her sweet spirit!</p> Lindahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11320864132586196839noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5696141346633366485.post-65896589865683066422013-07-14T22:10:00.001-05:002013-07-14T22:10:38.539-05:00Just because…<p>I think he’s really cute. <a href="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-nbTNCzNjE5A/UeNoHkd8h3I/AAAAAAAAMzQ/Wzyw1L6n2ow/s1600-h/DSC_03582.jpg"><img title="DSC_0358" style="border-left-width: 0px; When did that happen? Well, June 9th is when.  But it’s crazy that a year has gone by since this not-so-little guy came into our lives.  He’s such a fun kid to have around.  We kept it simple for his birthday (he’s the fourth, what more would you expect?).  Cake and presents.  He wasn’t so sure about the whole thing at first… I obviously wasn’t so sure about the white balance.  Can someone please get this momma some photography lessons?<a href="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-Jm1y63dVHOA/UckE-JKTf5I/AAAAAAAAMZg/YPqWIgy6XPY/s1600-h/DSC_0382%25255B5%25255D.jpg"><img title="DSC_0382" style="border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; border-bottom: 0px; float: none; margin-left: auto; border-left: 0px; display: block; margin-right: auto" border="0" alt="DSC_0382" src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-xCKiFJpN5DU/UckE-4D_XhI/AAAAAAAAMZo/FlKN-quGgfc/DSC_0382_thumb%25255B3%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" width="660" height="448" /></a> <a href="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-CvSbTzvYf6U/UckE_YQeyCI/AAAAAAAAMZw/rki6S0m7Dnw/s1600-h/DSC_0386%25255B8%25255D.jpg"><img title="DSC_0386" style="border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; border-bottom: 0px; float: none; margin-left: auto; border-left: 0px; display: block; margin-right: auto" border="0" alt="DSC_0386" src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-jgy8KqQ-eWk/UckE_-wL7KI/AAAAAAAAMZ4/eqUNZbwHF1E/DSC_0386_thumb%25255B6%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" width="660" height="448" /></a> But he’s a Chaplin and eating is in our DNA.  He figured it out pretty quickly.   <a href="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-vy1z1-CIVnQ/UckFAlh4_MI/AAAAAAAAMaA/E0WcYgE8kK8/s1600-h/DSC_0401%25255B8%25255D.jpg"><img title="DSC_0401" style="border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; border-bottom: 0px; float: none; margin-left: auto; border-left: 0px; display: block; margin-right: auto" border="0" alt="DSC_0401" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-J_k68mhbqS0/UckFBKwbAkI/AAAAAAAAMaI/9hXhW8AhesY/DSC_0401_thumb%25255B6%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" width="660" height="448" /></a> And he was pretty happy that he did.  <a href="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-e5h-t-rvJN8/UckFBj-39lI/AAAAAAAAMaQ/V3tALzgdscw/s1600-h/DSC_0403%25255B5%25255D.jpg"><img title="DSC_0403" style="border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; border-bottom: 0px; float: none; margin-left: auto; border-left: 0px; display: block; margin-right: auto" border="0" alt="DSC_0403" src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-y87REIlfk5U/UckFCMMkMDI/AAAAAAAAMaU/jstjfngjczA/DSC_0403_thumb%25255B3%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" width="660" height="448" /></a> </p> <p>Here are some fun facts about our little Adam:</p> <p>He’s always been really strong.  But in spite of crawling and standing early, he took his sweet time figuring out how to walk.  He took his first real steps the week before his birthday and just started getting more comfortable with it these past few days.  He can walk across the living room now.  </p> <p>His eating habits are totally hit or miss.  One day he’ll be downing peas like nobody’s business and the next they will all be on the floor.  One thing you can count on though is that half of what he is given will end up on the floor.  I will take that over him stuffing it into the cracks of his highchair like he used to.  </p> <p>He’s very vocal. He’s getting better, but this kid is a screamer.  It’s really a not-so-fun fact.  We’re not talking shrieks of delight here, we are talking want to stick pencils in your ears screaming.  When he is tired, he screams.  When he’s hungry he screams.  When he’s saying hi he screams.  You get the point.  Talking will be a welcome relief.  </p> <p>He’s been pretty easy going with changes to his routine.  He’s never really had a set nap time, and his bed time fluctuates too.  Something about being the fourth… I took away the bottles cold turkey right after he turned one and after a couple rough days he was drinking whole milk out of a sippy like a champ.   </p> <p>He really likes getting in trouble.  One of his favorite things right now is when he finds the TV stand unlocked. He loves to pull out all the DVD’s.  His other favorite thing is slapping me in the face.  Especially at bed time.  It makes for some really tender snuggle time.  The other day he smacked me in the eye with a little people.  I’m surprised I don’t have a black eye.  It’s great to see how much he is learning from his older siblings.  </p> <p>I’m amazed at some of the things he knows.  He picked up a headband the other day and put it on his head.  He was brushing his hair with my hair brush.  It’s funny to see what he picks up on – and what he picks up off the floor.  </p> <p>Even though he drives them crazy sometimes, he has two brothers and a sister who love his guts.  </p> <p>He is not a fan of photography.  And I don’t know if I will ever get a good picture with all 4 of them.  </p> <p><img title="DSC_0399" style="border-top: 0px; I have to say that is was a challenge to get it all together, but I think the kids had a blast and Carter loved it.  The kids got their acceptance letters as invitations.  </p> <p>I had a little backdrop set up to take pictures as the kids were coming, but it didn’t quite work out as I had hoped.  I got some of Ben, who can’t stay away from the camera, and a few of Carter.  Because I haven’t asked anyone’s parents, I won’t post any of Carter’s friend’s pictures.  You’ll just have to believe that they were there <img style="border-bottom-style: none; border-left-style: none; border-top-style: none; border-right-style: none" class="wlEmoticon wlEmoticon-smile" alt="Smile" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-SuM3VCUrzbw/UO42td01fjI/AAAAAAAALpw/_SYpdO2WJY8/wlEmoticon-smile%25255B2%25255D.png?imgmax=800" />.  <a href="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-KsIYi3sgJTg/UO42uGQmaPI/AAAAAAAALp4/P21PZ95dBiQ/s1600-h/DSC_0628%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; margin: 0px auto; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: block; float: none; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="DSC_0628" border="0" alt="DSC_0628" src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-QaORhKI1-eY/UO42unSPyII/AAAAAAAALqA/HtN9ZXeUGVk/DSC_0628_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="660" height="448" /></a><a href="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-fj1kOvceInU/UO42v1pIX1I/AAAAAAAALqI/9DbKvKCKwX8/s1600-h/DSC_0658%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; margin: 0px auto; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: block; float: none; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="DSC_0658" border="0" alt="DSC_0658" src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-VXDNg8hYYnc/UO42wkC3doI/AAAAAAAALqQ/7On_py1fNBA/DSC_0658_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="660" height="448" /></a>I was most impressed by the spread.  The kids got to go to Honeyduke’s afterwards to stock up on treats for the movie (we watched HP #1 at the end of the party) and to take home.  There were edible wands, chocolate frogs, jelly slugs, acid pops, gillyweed seeds, hippogriff tounges, Bertie Bott’s every flavor beans, Mandrake puffs and cauldron cakes.  <a href="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-aSRw-3cOIfk/UO42xkr5URI/AAAAAAAALqY/-NEYNWXFTuA/s1600-h/DSC_0656%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; margin: 0px auto; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: block; float: none; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="DSC_0656" border="0" alt="DSC_0656" src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-ymrePyjoX9o/UO42x1GAg8I/AAAAAAAALqg/7PBu1F6t7L0/DSC_0656_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="660" height="448" /></a><a href="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-iRVaszTbYO0/UO42ypEU5PI/AAAAAAAALqo/OVZnDymYX8s/s1600-h/DSC_0640%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; margin: 0px auto; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: block; float: none; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="DSC_0640" border="0" alt="DSC_0640" src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-wOJZaaiv8as/UO42zDNQRkI/AAAAAAAALqw/vG3R51LTCUY/DSC_0640_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="660" height="448" /></a><a href="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-htXfS3fziZA/UO42z9LilTI/AAAAAAAALq4/AocTc1ZhMIw/s1600-h/DSC_0646%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; margin: 0px auto; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: block; float: none; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="DSC_0646" border="0" alt="DSC_0646" src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-_A6lYkzqtU4/UO420RQ6vnI/AAAAAAAALrA/UgMNRgtWe2U/DSC_0646_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="660" height="448" /></a><a href="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-3sXBh3a3My8/UO421Lk_y0I/AAAAAAAALrI/J6VQSQVbdGQ/s1600-h/DSC_0644%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; margin: 0px auto; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: block; float: none; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="DSC_0644" border="0" alt="DSC_0644" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-U1Vgq5G0bRo/UO422qp8gwI/AAAAAAAALrQ/Lql6ElnZffU/DSC_0644_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="660" height="448" /></a>We supplied the magic wands and phoenix tears. It’s amazing how much happens in this first year.  Here are some of the highlights of the last month:</p> <ul> <li>He started crawling a day or two after I wrote his 6 month post.  He’s gotten really fast. </li> <li>His bottom two teeth finally broke through today!  They’ve been coming for a while now, hopefully now that they are out they won’t bother him as much. </li> <li>As of this morning he can pull himself up to standing in his crib.  He’s not sure how to get back down though.  He’s got a mark on his forehead from trying. </li> <li>He sleeps through the night most of the time.  He goes down between 7 and 8 and wakes up between 7 and 8.  We all love this.  A lot.  </li> <li>He can feed himself a bottle.  This is fabulous in the mornings when I’m trying to get Carter and Samantha off to school.  He sits in his little chair and drinks his milk. </li> <li>He is such a happy baby!   It really doesn’t take much to get him laughing.  He’s super ticklish and thinks it’s hilarious to bounce as we go up and down the stairs.  </li> <li>He has learned how to splash in the tub and would spend hours in there if I would let him.  Hopefully he thinks the water at the waterpark (the Dells) later this month is just as fun.  </li> <li>He loves food!  He’s a carb junkie like his mom, but he’s slowly branching out.  </li> </ul> <p>And for your viewing pleasure: </p> <p>Circus afro! <a href="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-jkhXEPEuZa0/UO4mBiZE7YI/AAAAAAAALmY/zFYlFehZEw4/s1600-h/DSC_0094%25255B7%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; It's flown by.  We are lucky enough to have 2 of my sisters here with us to babysit, so Mike took the day off and we had a super romantic day.  We started off by cleaning up the house a little, took care of a few little projects and then went to lunch.  Then we ran a few errands, came home and fed Adam and went to dinner.  We topped off the evening with a steamy trip to Target to check out the Halloween clearance. Next year we won’t have a baby and maybe we’ll plan something a little nicer.  It was nice to just spend some alone time with Mike, even if we were just running errands.  He’s been so busy lately with work that we don’t see a lot of each other and we rarely get time without any kids.  </p> <p>We were talking about the past 11 years over lunch and we have faced some pretty big challenges and made it through some pretty rough times.  But we’ve stood together and they have made us stronger.  We have had some pretty great times as well, and I hope that the next 11 years holds a lot more good times than bad.  But no matter what comes our way, there is no one I would rather be standing by than Mike.  He is the best husband I could ask for. He puts up with and even supports my random eccentricities and obsessions.  He is an awesome dad and takes his job as a protector and provider very seriously.  I’m one lucky girl!</p> <p><a href="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-0lFpm_MLsYI/UJSelSRLehI/AAAAAAAALd4/aJVm_vA-_n4/s1600-h/00000332%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; margin: 0px auto; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: block; float: none; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="00000332" border="0" alt="00000332" src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-pwhcklTngeo/UJSemPQqK9I/AAAAAAAALeA/xtPUvU6yV5k/00000332_thumb%25255B1%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" width="448" height="660" /></a></p> Lindahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11320864132586196839noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5696141346633366485.post-31308597385542959912012-10-14T21:32:00.001-05:002012-10-14T21:32:44.393-05:00Green and Gold<p>We started a new tradition this year and it might be one of my favorites yet.  In August the Green Bay Packers have a family night.  Tickets are $10 each and they do a scrimmage.  They also have tailgating, face painting and some other activities depending on how into it you want to get.  It was our first time, so we kept it simple.  It was a blast!  It was fun to be in the stadium with the crowd and just enjoy the show.  </p> <p>The night started off with some Army paratroopers parachuting into the stadium.  <a href="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-Ua5jy3ZiYKo/UHt1hudcAbI/AAAAAAAALZ4/yWOCNz2Tlvc/s1600-h/DSC_0109%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-right-width: 0px; margin: 0px auto; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: block; float: none; border-top-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="DSC_0109" border="0" alt="DSC_0109" src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-1GkFQh7jwWc/UHt1iFwo70I/AAAAAAAALaA/H94M9X_vEbc/DSC_0109_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="660" height="448" /></a>Then the players played a scrimmage and had a field goal kicking competition. The night was capped off with fireworks. Other than a few minor glitches, it was a really fun night.   The kids favorite part was the wave. <img style="border-bottom-style: none; border-left-style: none; border-top-style: none; border-right-style: none" class="wlEmoticon wlEmoticon-smile" alt="Smile" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-Fwza3bHyiiM/UHt1iu8rdlI/AAAAAAAALaI/bFZGGP8_i34/wlEmoticon-smile%25255B2%25255D.png?imgmax=800" /><a href="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-SzQT5HPpzic/UHt1jQqoOZI/AAAAAAAALaQ/Q9SMsRPIonA/s1600-h/DSC_0128%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; (20%) and is 26” long (95%).  His head is 42 cm (50%).  Basically he’s tall and skinny with average brains.   I’m not sure where the tall and skinny genes came from.  I’m assuming he’ll out grow those.  He is obviously growing really well. </p> <p> He’s usually very happy, as long as he’s fed and has slept.  We’ve struggled with the sleep thing, but I think we are finally figuring things out.  He still has a hard time going down for the night before 10 or 11.  I put him down between 7-8, but he wakes up every half hour or so until 10-11 when he usually will go down.  He’s not a great napper, but we’re working on that too.   </p> <p>He rolls both ways, but is much better at back to tummy.  </p> <p>He has a great smile and such a cute laugh.  He’s ticklish and it really doesn’t take much to make him laugh.  </p> <p>He loves watching the other kids.  He’s got super strong abs because whenever we lay him in his seat he tries to sit up to see more of what’s going on around him. </p> <p>He’s been sick this past week or so.  Just a cold, but he’s been pretty miserable.  I’m really hoping he gets over it soon. </p> <p>The other night, Mike introduced him to a new friend. Adam sat and looked at that doll forever. <a href="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-YGR5ZguEEDc/UHYlTcaU26I/AAAAAAAALXM/XunqYeBoamo/s1600-h/DSC_0494%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-right-width: 0px; margin: 0px auto; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: block; float: none; border-top-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="DSC_0494" border="0" alt="DSC_0494" src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-NoRPE0JAdzY/UHYlUdduAPI/AAAAAAAALXU/vKj2-3hy_2w/DSC_0494_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="660" height="448" /></a>And then he made his move.  Apparently Mike forgot to explain first date etiquette. <a href="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-iBhc43rzQGw/UHYlU34oK2I/AAAAAAAALXc/V8zFtMxdRlM/s1600-h/DSC_0500%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-right-width: 0px; margin: 0px auto; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: block; float: none; border-top-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="DSC_0500" border="0" alt="DSC_0500" src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-CmPP8LPqRS8/UHYlVaRXDpI/AAAAAAAALXk/vcVd2vrtl-o/DSC_0500_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" width="660" height="449" /></a>A little privacy here?!?
